Absolutely true!
Lord willing may it be!
There are hundreds and hundreds of people I know of that are most likely lost and headed towards a Christless Eternity if they continue on the road they are on. Full of stubbornness, pride, belief in lies, and just plain evil.
It hurts me. I can’t imagine how much it hurts The Lord.
Like you, these folks have heard - they just don’t get it or don’t believe it applies to them since they are already ‘saved’ or so they think.
I’ve always had envy issues myself. Looking at these millionaires getting away with murder literally while the rest of us play by the rules. I get tired of that - though the answer to that issue is well written multiple times in the Psalms and Proverbs. They’re just playing out their time and will get what is coming to them soon enough.
Ceasescu and Castro come to mind, along with just about every CEO in the world.
We’re praying really hard for you sister!

I actually do not envy the super wealthy.
When you see what it costs them, I have become very grateful that I am not rich or famous. It has such a tendency to harden one’s heart towards God and it is not worth gaining the whole world and losing my soul.
I am not beholden to anyone. Nobody has anything on me which they can use to blackmail me, or coerce me into compromising my principles. U}Sure, I made my foolish choices in my younger days, but nobody is coming after me to ruin my life over it.
So Psalm 73 very appropriately comes into play here.
