I think the Germans (Memling and Cranach, 49 and 51) come the closest to conveying the other-worldliness of the event.

Blake, dear Mr. Blake, has his own wonderful lens through which to view the Resurrection (like everything else). An odd bird but a wonderful artist. And poet.

Wait until you see Billy Blake's Ascension.

A couple of us wondered one time what Blake must have been thinking and came away shaken.
