What was that you were saying about KNOWING scripture?
But it does not say that it is a sin.
Christ Himself called Pharisees quite unwholesome names ("whitewashed tombs").
I also never said that I approved of it. I just said that you cannot judge one's salvation by what one says all the time.
From the article:
First Peter 3:10 declares, “For, whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech.”
Looks like a sin to me. But, I’m glad you’re sticking up for your “Christian” brother.
I saw no deceitful speech
——>I just said that you cannot judge one’s salvation by what one says all the time.
What does salvation have to do with anything associated with a OSAS/OJAJ? They went from lost to saved in a nanosecond and now they’re locked into heaven. Nothing they DO or SAY has any bearing on their salvation. They’re in, dude.
Try again.
——>I saw no deceitful speech
I wonder what our Heavenly Father saw?
Now this is deceitful.
Since you know and I know it, I won't bother pointing it out.
Just stop posting to me. We're done.
“They went from lost to saved in a nanosecond ...”
Yeah. What’s your problem with that? How long do you think it should take and why?
“They went from lost to saved in a nanosecond ...”
——>Yeah. What’s your problem with that?
Not what the bible teaches at all. OSAS would never be required to obey God during their entire lives, pre or post grace. You say obedience is not required for salvation. That’s what the Nicolaitans said too (we recently covered that). Unrepentant, willful sinners will not be in heaven no matter how many times you say otherwise.
Firstly, we covered nothing. You never responded to my questions regarding the Nicolaitans.
Moving on from that lie ...
I guess it would be foolish to ask if you were ever born again? Were converted?
“You say obedience is not required for salvation.”
Obedience will come because of a person’s salvation. I don’t think you grasp this very well.
If you believe it’s required in order to be saved, then please answer me this: For how long is a person to be strictly obedient before he’s saved? What if he screws up and blows it like Peter? Has he then become unsaved again?
I obey God because of what He has done for me in saving me. The obedience follows salvation, naturally and of course, and out of my love for Him. Am I perfect and always obey? No. I fall short all the time, and the longer I’m saved the clearer I’m able to see that and, therefore, am more the grateful to God ... which produces more obedience. You will probably call it circular logic but it’s not, it’s growth.
——>Obedience will come because of a person’s salvation.
Says who?
But it’s NOT REQUIRED FOR SALVATION. Obey if you want to, or not. Ravi chose the “not” path. But, your side says he’s still going to heaven (Assuming he didn’t repent of his sins, WHICH ISN’T REQUIRED because of OSAS).
Are you a born again believer?
Of course, as I’ve states many times.
——>Firstly, we covered nothing. You never responded to my questions regarding the Nicolaitans.
Posts 73, 74, 75. One of them is where I determine that you are as blind as a bat.
stated
What happened at the time of your being born again?
PAST sins forgiven. No longer under humanity’s death sentence. Pure as snow. You have told Christ that you want to follow Him. Obedience. Judgment. Heaven.
So, you’ve got nothing that happened to you personally. That’s not being born again, that’s being born of some laws the SDA like to (think they) keep.
You were already doing then what you’re doing now, and it has nothing to do with a new birth from above.
As usual, you have no idea what you are talking about.
