But it did remind me of the place in the Torah (Gen 45) when all the brothers are finally reunited after the 22-year separation.

Some years back I thought hmmm, 22 years and that's all the letters that we know about anyway. Yet there are actually five more, the final forms for the kaf, mem, nun, pei, and tzaddi.
And they have numeric values: 500, 600, 700, 800, and 900.
which add up to 3500.
Hence the memory trigger.
