Some great paintings and stained glass windows!!!
#15-16 by Brent Borup. I think this is the first time we encounter this excellent artist from Idaho. Rich in color and dept, his paintings of Jesus exude a special spiritual calmness.
#21 Wyeth, a prolific painter and the father of the great Andrew Wyeth.
#24, stunning mosaic from the 5th c. Mausoleum of Galla Placida in Ravenna. Photos do not render justice to the splendor of these mosaics.
I love #40, #41 and #42!!!!!!

Thank you, Alba, for your excellent review.

I infer from your comment that you have visited the Ravenna mosaics. Jist wanted you to know that I did read most of that lengthy article you linked to several weeks ago on mosaics. Learned a lot.

Jorge Cacco Santangelo is an Argentine painter of religious themes in what is called, I believe, the neo-Cubist style. His paintings have been shown at various places in the USA.

Docent etabeta, once more I’ve gone back to every artwork you’ve mentioned, to study each one again.

“#21 Wyeth, a prolific painter and the father of the great Andrew Wyeth”

I suppose the dad tutored the son; look how we can give to others!

Thank You etabeta!
