Hello Dan, and greetings to each of you.
A wonderful life lesson from the Word of God, well portrayed in these choices of art.

Thank You Dan.
Jesus does all things well.
Happy New Year, Leon!
#27 is best in my view.
#7 by Rops (never heard of him before this) is very thought provoking.
I love this parable, probably because it is so accessible (not as murky as some) and so insightful about life here on this mortal coil.
Sadly, No. 7 by Rops is all too real in today’s world. (Don’t look too closely at the “tare” Satan is spreading over Paris.)
Sadly, Rops was celebrating and not warning against Satan. He did much of that evil sowing himself — pornographic art and blasphemous, deliberately shocking nude and sexual depictions of religious scenes, as well as practicing it himself. Don’t look into him if you don’t want to be disgusted. (Satanism was trendy among certain bohemian types in fin de siecle Paris.) The dude was a degenerate, so we can sum up the painting here as, takes one to know one.
Still, God teaches us through evil. Satan today sows sin through our popular and political culture and the technologies that advance it. Jesus’ parable in today’s world is heartbreaking and so very real. Those who seek him must do so amidst the weeds, literally.
“Jesus does all things well.”

Indeed He does.
Happy New Year Dan. For you and your household, may 2023 be a year of blessings, and drawing ever nearer to our God of grace.
An apocalyptic view of the end-times harvest.
It is possibly occurring today.
If I publish this again, I will consult the Spirit again whether to include this. He and I never want the art to detract or distract from the Word.
Hubba-hubba! Let’s go!
The personal verse my first pastor gave me was Phillipians 1:6: "...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Your lovely hope for me is the hope for all believers.

Great verse of encouragement Dan; Amen and Amen.
I know we are not be threshed yet, but some days it feels like it...
Good evening Dan.
#14 is very dark and very true to the subject
#24 I usually do not like modern art, but this painting also speaks truth to Scripture
#25 is just a good painting
thank you for posting these
I really look forward to this thread
Better, K, thank the good Lord for these threads. They were entirely His idea, and He is responsible for every element you find rewarding.
