My favorite verses from Matthew:

For the Israeli audience, the name of the Top Gun movie(s) was renamed to,

"Love in the Skies" (אהבה בשחקים). Skies (שְׁחָקִים) is a poetic/literary term; here's Klein's entry:

שַֽׁחַק ᴵᴵ m.n. (usually used in the pl. שְׁחָקִים) 1 cloud of dust. 2 clouds in general (lit.: ‘that which is fine, thin’), whence, through sense enlargement, often used in the meaning of ‘sky, heavens’. [Special sense development of שַׁחַק ᴵ.] Derivative: שַׁחֲקִי.

Probably my most favorite Chosen episode is when Matthew witnesses Jesus heal the paralytic that was lowered through the roof.
Matthew the germaphobe transitions into Matthew the believer.
I think Nicodemas also gets a reality check in that episode.
