A theology of the ‘Marian principle’ The pope explained that there is another “theological” way in which women play a vital role in Church life.
The dignity of women, he said, reflected the spousal nature of the Church, which he called the “Marian principle.”
“The way is not only [ordained] ministry. The Church is woman. The Church is a spouse. We have not developed a theology of women that reflects this,” Pope Francis said.

Women do not want to become nuns. I do not understand why bother to become priests?

Many women feel pain because they cannot be ordained priests. I feel "pain" that I can't be a movie star. Where's my sympathy?

Women are already equal.
Women who want to become priests aren’t seeking to serve, they’re status seekers.

They don’t really want to be priests either. They just want to play dress up and make a big deal about how they got into a position where they were normally blocked.
If they feel like they are being called to religious life they can become Nuns. Maybe they think Nuns aren’t important enough for them which is pretty egotistical, plus an old nun created a long running Catholic television station EWTN so its not like she wasn’t important.

I grew up at exactly the time to be on the battlefield of the the ERA, feminists like Betty Friedan and Roe v. Wade.
When women sued to demand men’s jobs in all fields I noticed men were always the ones down in a dirt ditch-—for replacing pipes, laying cable, fixing water mains, building the margins of roads and anything else. Now in 2022 the same is always true, as far as I have seen.
Unspoken——women are too smart to force men out of their jobs digging ditches.

Thinking ML was just brainstorming, ET.
Not that he agreed with the notion
Could be wrong, YMMV.

This was a post that shows the Pope got one right...
Is that wrong to post the positive?
And your comprehension needs some work.
The Priesthood is indeed Petrine in nature.
Since when would FSSP not applaud a blind squirrel finding
a nut every now and then?

Since when does a Catholic use “equality” when referring to the possibility of womyn “priests”?
It sounds like you’re supporting the concept. And why is Bergoglio still open to womyn “dekeons”? “Equality”, perhaps?
JP II used “equality” in his badly mistaken allowance of altar chicks.

Stop being a jerk.
The question clearly asked was:
WOMEN do not want to become nuns.
I do not understand WHY BOTHER to become priests?
NO WHERE IN THAT - or my reply- IMPLIES THE CHURCH ASSUMES- OR EVER HAS HELD - A POSITION OF EQUALITY FOR THE PRIESTHOOD.
YOURE MAKING THAT UP.
You continue distorting and misdirecting away from the truth... to attack the Church... for your own selfish, prideful need.
As does the demonic schismatics who attack the Church.
You fabricate falsity just as easy as the Democrats do.
You are no different.

I’m not attacking the Church.
I’m questioning your excuse of “equality” in reference to male vs female priests.
Stop making stuff up.

P.S. You are not the Church; so stop equating a critique of you as an attack on the Church.
