Sounds like a good subject for an
extended Bible study.

Like other said, I also never thought about David naming his son Nathan. That’s an amazing respect David seemed to have for the prophet Nathan even with the accusation.

Have no idea what your meaning is, or how those links might relate to Jesus’ genealogy.

The wife of Boaz was Ruth. Ruth was a Moabitess, widowed of one of the son’s of the Jewess, Naomi. Note the scriptures tell us ‘the two shall become one’. The son of Boaz and Ruth was Obed, meaning worship. I tend to see Ruth as a Jewess through her marriage to the Jewish son of Jewess Naomi. So when she and Boaz conceived Obed, Ruth was more thamn just a Moabitess.

I was looking for a thread to post links that people may find helpful. If necessary, we could delete the post.
My PC quit on me some time ago, so I work on my iPad, which is temperamental.

Well, it was your question so I figure you’d look into it.

Jewish tradition records Bathsheba as having named Nathan. Nathan the Prophet was her counselor, both having great positive influence on Solomon as well as David.

No need for deletion. But people generally don’t visit these BibleArt threads for anything other than, well, BibleArt.

Whichever humans were ultimately responsible, seems like God was determined to accomplish it.

Indeed.
And the Prophet Gad was also at the side of Solomon, but few details are known. The Bible mentions Gad as the author of a book by his name, but it has never been found.

I also wrote a book no one has read, so I understand how Gad felt.
