Georgia Democrat Stacey Abrams defended killing nearly fully-formed unborn babies in abortions through the second trimester Sunday, saying God gave women a “free will” to choose abortion.
Abrams, a favorite of the left who has lost election after election in Georgia, is running again against pro-life Republican Gov. Brian Kemp this fall. If elected, she said one of her top priorities will be to repeal the state heartbeat law, which bans abortions once an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable.
Speaking with Yahoo News Sunday, she claimed that she can be a Christian and support abortion on demand.
“While your faith tradition may tell you that you personally do not want to make that choice, it is not my right as a Christian to impose that value system on someone else,” Abrams said. “Because the value that should overhang everything is the right to make our own decisions, the free will that the God I believe in gave us.”
The Democrat candidate is the daughter of two retired United Methodist pastors, according to the report. And Abrams said she supports abortions for any reason up to viability, and later in certain circumstances, because of her Christian faith.
“Arbitrary political parameters make no sense, but it should always be that abortion care is available until a fetus is viable, unless that viability threatens the life of the mother and the health of the mother,” she said.

Abrams also described killing unborn babies in elective abortions as a “medical decision” that women should be allowed to make simply because “they are not ready to be mothers.”
However, an abortion does not stop a woman from becoming a mother. From the moment her baby is conceived, she already is a mother, and an abortion destroys her child’s life.
The Georgia heartbeat law is expected to go into effect soon after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in a historic victory for life. The pro-life law likely will save tens of thousands of unborn babies from abortion. In 2020, 31,248 unborn babies were aborted in Georgia, according to state health department data. More than 60 percent were aborted after six weeks of pregnancy, the point at which an unborn baby’s heartbeat usually is detectable.
Along with the heartbeat law, Georgia also now allows parents to claim unborn babies as dependents on their taxes. State officials will begin counting unborn babies as part of the Georgia population as well.
Polls show Americans are pro-life on abortion, and a new national poll found 75 percent of Americans essentially agree with the Supreme Court overturning Roe.
Despite false reports that abortion bans would prevent doctors from treating pregnant women for miscarriages or ectopic pregnancies, pro-life doctors confirm that is not the case. Some 35 states have laws that make it clear that miscarriage is not abortion and every state with an abortion ban allows treatment for both.
Rats are too self-absorbed to realize that.

“Free will” is a choice offered by God, but to exercise it wrongly, is to choose the right to abandon God.
And the alternative does not appear to be a desirable choice, in the end. No matter how attractive it is made to appear.
If “because God gave us free will” is acceptable justification, everything should be legal.
Murder (including abortion)? “God gave us free will.”
Rape? “God gave us free will.”
Robbery? “God gave us free will.”
Stacey doesn’t get it.

This is unfortunately a confused soul who conflates God’s creation of free will with free license.
Free Will is the ability to choose from right and wrong, good and evil, obedience or disobedience.
Free License is the choice to do whatever one wants.
The image of God was given Free Will in order to entrap God’s enemies to reveal themselves, to expose their evil.
Adam (Hebrew: first man) was the unwitting bait.
God in the form of a Second Adam is the hook.
Ms. Abrams has chosen evil that says her disobedience is obedience.
Evil is good and good is evil.

She’s clearly had the free will to eat all the fried chicken and doughnuts one can possibly consume.
This argument doesn’t hold water at all. God also gave us the free will to murder other people, rape people, rob people, torture people, do whatever you can think of.
That doesn’t mean it’s okay or should be legal. Are we not to protect the innocent?
She has been paid to spout this, despite the fact that blacks are obviously targeted - remember when NYC had more black abortions than live births? It wasn’t an accident; it was designed to do that.
After the welfare reform of 1996, Hispanics were expected to surpass blacks in population by 2010; after the 2000 census it was revealed that it had already happened. Despite Al $harpton’s claims to the contrary, they WERE breeding more bastards for more cash - and the birthrate plummeted after they weren’t paid to do so anymore. They’ll still have one for the “free” apartment, food stamps, welfare, college, etc., but that’s about it - and they are living in communities surrounded by their foreign replacements.

It is difficult to find much in the way of daylight between Abram’s rationale justifying abortion and Hitler’s Endgültige Lösung.
Sometimes comparisons to the Nazis are apt. I think that this is one of them.
