The story of Elisha and the boys always bored me. I have read many interpretations about the event and now it is a lot more clear in my mind. Among those I read, this made more sense to me than some others.

I second your appreciation of that explanation, that when translated properly we see that the bears attacked profane young priests, not little boys.
