I grew up in the Missouri synod. After I moved away they changed to Evangelical. My parents left the church at that time. Unfortunately they joined the local UCC which was almost as bad.
That must have been a single congregation deciding to join another denomination. The LCMS denomination itself is strongly pro-life. See post 46.
