Great Tissot! #46, just because I love Northern Renaissance art. A beautiful mosaic at #54. Thanks, Dan!
Very nice. I particularly like #29 and #45. 45 especially captures it for me ... both Solomon and the Queen “look right”, to me, and Solomon seems to me to be greeting her as an equal.
#53 ... What’s with the guard? Bored? Passed out drunk? The two children and the man behind him are all giving the “what’s your malfunction?” look.
Thank you for this posting Dan.
I learn a great deal from the other posters too. Appreciate all comments.
Good day to all.
Look at the way he did the hair...perfectly spiraled opposites (start at the middle forehead)...and an imaginative way to draw negroid hair...just excellent.
And then he 'set off' the symmetry with the odd-numbered 5 stars on the face, and the head is 'turning' left, so the neck lines are different.
Just a creative/genius way to give 'life' to symmetry, very subtle!
Being a fan of art deco styles...(in architecture, what building do you immediately think of?)...I'm inclined to like #52 anyway by default!
