The week I met my future wife I expressed vehemently to her my view on cats, which is that they should all be bagged in gunny sacks, taken out beyond the three-mile limit, and dumped. I was unaware that she owned five cats.
The next year we were married and she ended up with one husband, two children, two dogs and zero cats. Forty-three years later we remain happily married.
