No surprise here.
Our Christian faith teaches that Jesus the man led a sinless life. I accept this on faith. But every second of every day in the life of Jesus and every thought He ever had while on Earth was not recorded and written down.
Do they believe he rose from the dead? If they won’t believe that there is no way they will accept a sinless Jesus.
Virtue is POWER. Jesus was virtuous (sinless), therefore he had POWER to overcome death for us. We could not and cannot overcome death by our own power (good people do have power, but not POWER like Jesus has).
I also think it was necessary for Jesus to be perfect and subject to earthly injustice to be able to usher in ultimate justice and mercy for us. If I want to see imperfection I only have to look in the mirror.
Satan trying hard but he will fail. The end is already written.
“Future Mark Wearers”? Maybe.
But we were all there once.
From the article...
“I hear statistics [like these], and I’m less concerned about the national or generational assumptions about the dual nature of Jesus or pick your particular point of doctrine here,” Plake said. “I’m more concerned that we point people to the Word of God.
“We get them there, they’re going to find wisdom, they’re going to find hope for their struggles, and if we can help people connect deeply with the Bible, then the doctrinal challenges are going to work themselves out.”
That is our charter as the Body of Christ...to point aa many as possible toward the gift of Salvation through Jesus.
Correct. Jesus was perfect, without sin. He had to be in order to be the perfect sacrifice our Father in Heaven demanded for our sins.
They really are the 'lost generation' aren't they?
Total ignorance of the Bible.
I don’t think their HELLO, KITTY! IT’S JESUS CALLING! study Bibles teach much sound doctrine (on sin or anything else).
Yes, you are quite right. Let’s spread the good news.
So ah did any of them point out His sin?
Goldman-Sachs still hasn’t forgiven Jesus for his treatment of the moneychangers, and environmentalists are still up in arms about that plant he shriveled.
Lots of people, I mean lots, are going to hell.
Probably 98% of humanity.
Matthew 7:13-14
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Why did God make salvation such a narrow path?

We are seeing the destruction of the Christian church. There will always be a remnant, yes, but I think the church’s better days have come and gone.
NAILED IT. People don’t even know what sin is. Don’t know what righteous anger is, don’t know what Jesus can kick butt with a whip and turn over tables, and NONE OF THAT was a sin.
Then nearly 40% we can be sure are not saved.
Where was the obvious follow-up question as to, if Jesus was a sinner, what were His sins?
Hebrews 10:38
38 And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.”
39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.
