——>Moses, the lawgiver, was an advocate to go before God to plead for the people for mercy and grace. He did not try to excuse them.

No, the law was given THROUGH Moses. The Law Giver was preincarnate Jesus Christ.

Moses is a type. Christ is presented in the Old Testament with types. This is not a rare thing, it is evidence that the author of every Old Testament book knew Christ. Romans 5 says that Adam is a figure of him that was to come. Adam is not the only one, so was Able, Seth, Noah, Isaac, Joseph, and many more. Not just people but the Ark, the rainbow, the priesthood, the city of refuge the list go on and on.

In time you will find the book is about him.
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The details add to the precision of the types. They can add color to the shadows. When you insist that there is no meaning to the maker of the tables of the law you miss a clue that God has provided. God goes before us to provide our daily blessing.
Ruth 2:15-16 And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not: And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not.
