Actually 1 John 3:9 says…..

No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.

The Greek says it’s continuing to sin or practicing sinning.

1 John 1:7-10 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

In the flesh, we still all sin. The reborn spirit of the believer is the part that does not and cannot sin. But the believers will not continue to sin wantonly. Someone with the Spirit of Christ dwelling in them desires to live a holy life and will struggle with sin.

So do you think you never sin any more?

The seeming disjunction centers upon distinguishing between soul and spirit. Before being born again the spirit is sequestered in/with the soul, the behavior mechanism. Once one is born again, born from above, God has separated the soul and spirit so that His Spirit can abide in the newborn spirit in the righteousness of Christ. The flesh continues to sin, hopefully less and less as the Christian matures, but the spirit which God has separated from the flesh has The Spirit of God abiding therein and cannot sin because the seed of GOD is abiding therein and God cannot sin or hold His Presence among sin. And God is not a yoyo that comes and goes and comes again into the spirit. Cults focus upon the soul not the spirit. Seven_0 is not a cultist.
