Indeed, the 1970 GIRM is quite dated 50 years later. The Latin Mass is timeless.

Pope Francis said Saturday that the liturgy should not be “a battleground” for “outdated issues.”
Using the Pope’s argument, the Council of Nicea had to be a failure.
