There were what, 2 million Jews camped around there? I wonder how many nearby spies/watchers/shepherds/random wanderer also caught the scene of God's glory 'coming down'?
Many of my thoughts trouble me...
Having beheld all the evidence of God's presence, they were still rebellious/disobedient. Boggles my imaginative capacity...I mean I'm not superior/better than them...so I would be disobedient too, right?
Begs the question - how could I be so terrible to still sin after all that evidence.
Can't quite wrap my mind around it...
Which is why He detailed their story, to make us understand ourselves. Convincing and then convicting us of our own sin is God's greatest challenge.
