Senate Democrats Set Up Vote on Bill to Legalize Abortions Up to Birth Nationwide
Life News ^ | 2/19/22 | Micaiah Bilger

Senate Democrats have pushed forward with a radical pro-abortion bill that would force states to legalize taxpayer-funded abortions up to birth.

Forbes reports Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer filed cloture Thursday to advance the misnamed Women’s Health Protection Act, saying “a woman’s right to choose is a fundamental right.” He plans to hold a vote Feb. 28.

Democrat leaders and many mainstream news outlets portray the bill as an effort to simply “codify the right to an abortion” in the U.S. in response to the likelihood that the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade later this year.

But pro-life leaders say the bill would go beyond even Roe by nullifying state laws that protect unborn babies from late-term and partial-birth abortions.

“This radical ‘Abortion Until Birth Act’ would block popular pro-life laws around the country, including limits on late-term abortions when unborn babies feel pain, and effectively enshrine an unlimited abortion ‘right’ in federal law,” said Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Pro-abortion Democrats are desperate to stop the pro-life momentum demonstrated by pro-life laws advancing in state legislatures nationwide.”

Disgusting.

This likely does not have the votes to pass, thankfully - and is overwhelmingly opposed by the public at large. He must be teeing this up because he fears a primary challenge from AOC. Otherwise it makes zero sense.

I doubt a single Republican would support this bill - not even Susan Collins.

Where would Congress get the authority to enact such a law?

I totally agree with you.
However, there is no changing the mind of a liberal that their baby should be killed for personal pleasure.
Our only tool, in fixing abortion, is to be able to outvote them.

That’s all I mean.

In stark contrast to the rights that the states famously expressly protected with the Bill of Rights, it remains that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect the politically correct “right” to murder unborn children.

In fact, unlike 2nd Amendment gun rights protections that patriots enjoy for example, Democrats and RINOs have to fight tooth and nail to try to keep a majority of pro-abortion of activist justices on the Supreme Court in order to keep the politically correct, Democratic vote-winning “right” to murder unborn children alive.

The bottom line is that the very corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress has never had the express constitutional authority to regulate abortion.

It’s no surprise that desperate Democrats have introduced this evil and unconstitutional legislation in this important election year.

Insights welcome.

Can you show me a single time Republicans voted to defund Planned Parenthood while they had both houses and the presidency? Republicans would find a few safe members to give the Democrats their legislative victory.

Any medical procedure you get is a guilty one. Whether it be the treatment was taken from Japanese and German medical procedures or from experimenting on blacks in the mid-late 19th century. There is a lot of wrongs that are benefitting the world that many of the pro-life people also have used.

Unless it is no worse than a broken leg, somebody suffered to give you the treatment you have used.

The cell lines that form the basis of the covid shots may have started with fetuses, but those cell lines are 40 years old, or so. As I understand it anyway.

I don’t know if such a distance in time makes it better, but you’d have to avoid almost all medical procedures that are beyond a broken leg if you want to live the saintly life.

That would include any cancer treatments that many Freepers are making use of as we speak.

I personally don’t go to doctors and I’m comfortable with the idea of accepting my cancer and dying with it and seeking treatment, but that’s me.

Obambi and company voted for abortion AFTER birth several times. One was called the Born Alive Amendment. If an abortion procedure failed, and a baby was outside the womb, alive, the Amendment protected that living being. Obambi stated that it would be too much trouble to call in another doctor to ‘prove’ the new baby was actually ‘alive.’. Truly, truly evil

That sentence is just soooo chilling......

I think society has completely lost the meaning of Motherhood and trampled it to ground. Woman are going to pay a huge price for these murders....and so is society in general.

I recall truly fighting for the life of two unborn babies....unfortunately both were killed anyway. When you get up close to fighting for these little ones it’s heartbreaking when you lose the fight. But you also clearly see the enemy of mens souls operating in that environment.....who seeks who he may devour.... and does.

One gals mother and her Pastor took this gal to the abortion clinic the day she (and they) aborted the child. A couple weeks later her daughter was decapitated by a car..... I often wondered what the mother and the Pastor must have thought when that happened.

Congress has no constitutional authority to meddle in the area of abortion regulation or make law that establishes when an abortion can be performed. That is left to the states.

My lib father-in-law is all for abortion in the 3rd trimester. So I asked him what about the 4th trimester and he said damn right. My wife informed him what that meant so he got up and stormed out of the room swearing all the way.

My daughter asked him if he was dropped as a baby or was he born that way. He had no come back for that. He watches nothing but MSNBC all day.
