I wasn’t quite accurate. Well, that church had gone roundhouse theater by the time I came back from my brief time out of state. In CT I luckily found a Lutheran church down the street, which I loved and was still ELCA. Had interim pastor I really liked. Nothing there offended me. Then I came back home in MD to the roundhouse.
My brother and SIL were members of an ELCA for many years and realized they had tolerated too much. The final straw was the new female “pastor” who was insufferable. God led them to a great LCMS church that is faithful to God’s Word. They are happy and blessed there.
As someone once told me, every church that ordains women will eventually ordain homosexuals. Once people say, “God didn’t really mean that, did He?” They are saying the same thing Satan said to Eve in the garden.
