G E N E S I S CHAPTER 15:1-6
AS RIGHTEOUSNESS. CHAPTER 4:18-25 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but ALSO FOR US, |
The big star parties out west off the top of my head are the Nebraska Star Party, Oklahoma Star Party, Okie-Tex, and the Texas Star Party. They do charge admission, have campsites, and have COVID rules in place.
You might have a local astronomy club in your area.
I have not been to any of the aforementioned star parties, but some of my friends have. I’m in Northern Illinois, not the greatest skies here, but there are a few decent areas.
My take is that #9 is a standard-issue photograph of the Milky Way, with Jesus and Abraham added.
No one else ever was given cause to have those thoughts. He was indeed blessed, as are we through him.
Try the deserts in the southwest—SoCal, Arizona....
Look up at the heavens and count the stars if indeed you can count them. Then he said to him, So shall your offspring be.
Sounds like a challenge! :)
Genesis 15: 5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars [ha-kokavim הכוכבים], if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
When Abram's name was changed to Abraham, the letter hei was added...
אברם ---> אברהם
The letter hei is "the", the letter that equals 5, hence ha-kokavim is "five stars", the highest rating. The best of the best!

If you can count five stars, so shall your seed be. Indeed:
"Hei" is seed for you:
Meaning
The word hei has three meanings: The first is here is, as in the verse, Here is seed for you16 (hei lachem zera).17 The next is to be disturbed, as it states in Daniel18 And I Daniel was disturbed....(nihyeisi) And the third is behold19 as in Behold, this is our G-d..., (hinei Elokeinu...) which refers to beholding a revelation. These three definitions converge. When were born and come into this world, G-d gives us seeds (i.e., the potential to be productive and make good of our lives). Many times, however, we become disturbed and confused and lose sight of our objectives. Eventually, though, every Jew will come to do teshuvah and acknowledge his Creator. He will then behold the revelation of G-d.
By elevating ones thought and speech and translating them into action, one reveals the yechidah, the fifth level and spark of Mashiach within his soul,20 and this will bring us to the ultimate Redemption.
That's kind of funny/weird that the quote further down is labeled as being Hebrews 4:18-25, when it is Romans 4:18-25
What next, Esau the Hebrew? ;)
Talk about a dark horse candidate. Nobody would be looking into the gates of Rome.
EXTRA STRONG BREW
Rav Motti Greenberg really knows how to win a spelling bee!
The soul of the Mashiach spends its time hiding in places where it would never be expected to be found, in order that the accusers will not be able to interfere with the process of his development. That is why the very spark of the Mashiach makes its first appearance in Sedom...
It was prophetic.
You didn’t mean it. It was a perfectly innocent mistake. That’s how to know it was legit.
Nice touch. Five stars! :)
Since you insist, I won’t resist.
