The thing I love (among many things) about Genesis is when Adam and Eve get caught eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and all Adam could say was "it was
her idea."
That's how we know that, allegorical or not, it is an accurate portrayal of human male behavior.
It also sounds like God has a great sense of humor.

Good points--although I reject that we have anything other than an accurate depiction.
But I understand. Sometimes I catch myself looking at these bizarre, archaic Bible characters as cartoonish historical oddities before I realize once again they were humans just like us. And God has seen to it that we can see ourselves on the pages of scripture.

...all Adam could say was "it was her idea." Worse than that--Adam actually blamed God Himself for giving the woman to Adam.
