I know it's fashionable in Philly to trash Wentz.
And in all honesty, I am a Foles guy and thought Wentz should have been benched earlier in 2018/before his vertebrae problem.
But facts are facts. You're right - Jake Elliot doesn't have a chance to hit his 61-yarder without Wentz faking out the Giants, and so on. Wentz proved himself in 2019 and we may have beaten Seattle if Clowney didn't cheap-shot/concuss Wentz.
And for all of the Front Office talk about Wentz - who clearly had confidence, control, attitude and other issues- being "our guy," they draft a QB in the 2020 first round!?!? Then when Carson is uneven - which he was - they bench him and act like it's all his fault!?!?
If Wentz was broken when he went to the Colts, the Eagles were the prime batterer in that relationship.
I am audibly cheering for Wentz and the Colts. And Howie can take a long walk off a short pier.
Then in Dallas, Bledsoe got injured, and Tony Romo never looked back.
Because he was in the ground most of the time with his brittle bird bones
I meant that if Wentz had been our QB in the Super Bowl, we would have lost.
He may be the Tug McGraw of the Eagles.
