# 277 and #280 very remarkable. Sigh..only another chapter of the wonderful Tissot paintings. This series will go into my favorites.

Yes, 280 was the first Tissot I ever saw. I was amazed at its originality.
Once again I’m struck by the similarities between Tissot and Mel Gibson’s Passion of the Christ. The first nail could be taken from the movie. I wonder if Mel copied Tissot.
I have a few quibbles over the Roman spear and the appearance of the dead, but nothing detracts from the emotional impact of this collection.
