Do you spend a lot of time searching for articles to stir the pot with “Protestants”?

Why would you say that? How is it you think this was aimed at you? This is a Holy day for us Catholics. It’s not all about you.

Well I have to admit- given our discussions, I’m a little disappointed that I am unable to draw a clearer distinction for you. A distinction that separates a posting of an essay that is theologically intellectual in nature as I shared... vs. something that which I am clearly, and admittedly, comin’ for ya with… ! lol.
While I do try to be as defensively charitable as possible here… I certainly do not want to be provocative as you infer…before the fact that is.

Real truth be told here, the majority of Catholic’s have never even heard of St.”Cdl.” Newman- even after his recent Canonization – let alone these insights into the Feast day that was celebrated yesterday. The essay had taught me something I did not know (wished I had known) – and by sharing it- hopefully it also had some educational value for anyone reading it as well. St. John Henry Newman was an intelligent theologian- before, and after he switched teams- and his understanding of the Faith ought not be dismissed without honest reflection.

Had I posted this essay on any other day of the year – outside of Advent- sure, I could agree with your “poking” sentiment towards me just a smidge. But my IC post was timely, ON the day, historically and theologically educational. I had never read of this defense about the Blessed Virgin Mary before, and I doubt you have heard this particular reasoning as well.
Disagree with it as you should, though my hope in sharing this post is that those who took the time to read it, understand it – have benefitted from it in some way.

As mentioned, many of us Catholic’s are definitely in need of going deeper into our faith. So let’s agree that the Catholic ”pot” does need to get stirred a bit- if not continuously. Though to answer your question on “searching” for articles… I get The Catholic Thing, daily, sent to my email- no search reqd.
I must also mention,- though it’s not that often that I share a post of their content… when I do, trust me, you’re gonna learn something from it, regardless- and yes, it can be eye opening.

God Bless.
