Evidently those angels don't get along very well though, because they're equally-and-oppositely-wrong on the most important question of all.
The Muslim god is so transcendent that he can't relate to you as much more that a master to a slave, but it's really closer to master to prized livestock or zoo animal.
The LDS god is so un-transcendant that you can become just like him if you follow the rules.
I have said for years that I don’t understand why there is even one lds believer
There’s a PT Barnum quote that addresses this.
Well that is a good observation and point, but The Roman Catholic Church has it’s own adoration and historical teachings about “Angelic Apparitions” too - probably more than the LDS/Islam.
How many “virgin” Mary apparitions are there? I can think of about 10 right now in different countries.
I’m 100% weary of “angelic” apparitions.
2 Corinthians 11:14
And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
Galatians 1:8
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
Since God cannot be the author of contradiction, we know automatically that at least one of those "angelic visitations" is either (a) demonic or (b) imaginary.
(In this particular case, since both contradict revealed Christian truth -- truths which we both confess, BTW -- we know they are both either (a) or (b).)
I’m 100% weary of “angelic” apparitions.
I'm glad Mary didn't take that attitude when Gabriel appeared to her. Aren't you?
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
Precisely. The Catholic Cathedral in SLC faces Temple Square. On the stained glass window closest to the Temple is inscribed that verse.
