Great selection. Of note for me is the beautiful mural from a monastery (#5). The detail at #6-A is from a second painting of Ghirlandaio of the Last Supper done for a convent. It is exquisite. In #11 by Crespi, the expression of Jesus is so sad, he doesn’t seem to be present, is he contemplating what the next week will bring?
#12, Dali’. Is Jesus pointing upward toward the torso as foretelling of his ascension?
Most certainly. He'd been keenly anticipating those events since He was seven or eight and first read Isaiah 53 and related passages. I would hope some artist could catch a far-away look in Jesus' eye.
