Believers have thought the Kingdom has been at hand for the past 2000 years. They have been wrong every single time.

And Clinton and Bush, then Obama were supposedly ushering in the Antichrist.

Ad nauseum.

During the Clinton Error, I was hospitalized for a bad kidney infection. My mother’s Aunt and a couple of her church friends visited me.

During the visit, they began discussing the End Times and the reasons why Clinton would be the last President.

They were lovely, Godly women but they were, obviously, wrong about Clinton being the final President,

All of my life, I’ve heard “THIS is the end!”. Never came to pass.

I don’t pretend to be a Bliblical expert, but I do know that the Bible warns against predicting dates for the End.

The last days began at Pentacost. It's not because God is asleep at the wheel, but because He is patient. Jesus wants as many people entering the Kingdom of Heaven as possible.

2 Peter 3:9

New International Version

9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Believers have thought the Kingdom has been at hand for the past 2000 years. They have been wrong every single time.

Define "at hand", and show examples, and we can go from there.

I agree that many have expressed belief that "the end is at hand", but (to our understanding), "the end" has not yet occurred. That does not necessarily mean that they were wrong, only that the perceived time scale may be inaccurate or incorrectly understood or expressed.

My personal opinion is that "we" are in a spiritual war, and that much of what we observe these days are the physical manifestations thereof. The Enemy is moving, and is achieving successes.

I do not pretend to know what the timelines are of all of this , but I do wish to point out two prophesied events that have not yet happened, namely Isaiah 17 ("The burden of Damascus"), and the War of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38 and 39). There are other prophesies that may signal that we are at the verge of the end times. Are we on the verge? I do not know. However, we are cautioned to be ready, as scripture warns that "the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."

We are as close to these events becoming reality as we have ever been. Do you deny that?
