You do not know nearly as much as you think that you do about the Kirkland Life Care Center. The facility and the staff were top notch. They offered a higher level of care than any other care center in the area. They had multiple patients on respirators before Covid became a factor. The reason that they were hit hard is because they had a lot of patients that required a very high level of care that was not offered anywhere else outside of a fully accredited hospital.

The other part of the equation there was that the part of King County where the Kirkland Life Care Center was located in is home to half a million recent arrivals from China and many went home for Chinese New Year. If you have ever shopped at the Kirkland Costco you would realize that half or more of the customers there are of Asian descent. Many of the residents and staff at the Kirkland Life Care Center were also of Asian descent and their family and friends who came to visit were also of Asian descent.

The chart you included is amusing in that it does show that the majority of masks being worn by the public are less than worthless. They actually put the person who wears them for hours a day at greater risk of getting sick. This is despite the “droplet count” measure being an almost meaningless standard to measure effectiveness. As soon as the mask becomes saturated the viral particulate can migrate from inside to outside the mask during airflow through the filter and the viral particulate is released from the outside of the mask. The masks act like a sieve making the droplets much smaller and able to float around longer. Do you believe that makes them less or more likely to be breathed in or make contact with other peoples mucus membranes.

I do not blame you for your media and big tech provided "facts" but they are not facts in any normal sense of the word and are mostly propaganda meant only to deceive the public. You can agree or disagree with my decades of training and work choosing the proper PPE for hazmat chemical and bio-hazards... it makes no difference to me.

I suspected the COVID victims at Kirkland Life Care Center were Asians infected by their family and friends. I also suspected the staff. I wondered why it took so long to test the staff, after weeks of new infections. Confusion inside the nursing home and among state health officials over who was responsible for testing sick patients allowed the disease to continue spreading, turning Life Care into the nation’s largest source of COVID-19 fatalities. When testing was done, of the 120 residents at Life Care, more than 81 tested positive.

By March 13, tests on the staff recorded 47 positive for COVID, 24 testing negative with the remaining 133 pending. The nursing home didn’t obtain enough supplies to test all residents until March 7, and it took another week to test most employees. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that limited access to testing, as well as staff working at multiple facilities while sick and a lack of protective equipment, contributed to the disease’s spread at Life Care. Did Inslee step up to the plate? No. He dragged his feet and dropped the ball.

If you are concerned about over saturating your mask consider fabrics that are moisture-wicking, so moisture is wicked out of the mask into the air. Also to make a tighter and a more comfortable mask experience, consider the 4Ocean Face Mask Support Frame:
