“James 2:
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
I knew you “works” people would be quick yo post.
I’m not seeing anything about “salvation” in that verse, try again.

James 2:
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
[faucetman]I’m not seeing anything about “salvation” in that verse, try again.
Then you're blind.
James 2:
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for brighteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Matt 25:31-46 is explicit.
Matt 25:
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Jesus says He will judge people by what they do. If you didn't obey Him and do the works He commanded, it proves you didn't actually have faith and He will cast you out. Those are His words.
