Traditionally, I’ve done my taxes in January/February as soon as I have the necessary tax statements. That way I can file in February and get my refund sooner.
If I owe money, like this year, I don’t file until April.
But five hours sounds like the right amount of time. Depends if you have a business and multiple sources of income.
