True. I like to think of the bible as a history book as none of it is actually the words of god. Example: The ten commandments was the closest interpretation that could be put into our limited human language.

If you read it as a history book it can be extremely interesting. Such as genesis flood which the Burckler crater in the Indian Ocean 5000 years ago likely did create storms and waves of water that likely flooded the area all the way to today Turkey. The Burckler asteroid doesn't lessen the biblical story because only an act of god could have know at that time to build the Ark long before the event.

I've always wondered why people would sacrifice their children to the false Gods such as Moloch for any reason. Which is what the story of Abraham and partly the story of Jesus birth was about. Historically speaking it wasn't all that long ago when massive differential ratio's of male/female at it's peak was 9,000 years ago of 17:1 female to male. This was likely a natural differential. In my opinion they likely didn't understand why god was balancing out the ratios. God creating more men.

Moses did not pen Genesis as a first hand witness ... what he penned had to come from someplace for it to have credibility, from which the rest of the Word is based.

Literal reading of Genesis, and backed up by Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Peter, Christ Himself as well as Paul describes TWO floods... the first one is recorded without a man abled timestamp in Genesis 1:2. But Jeremiah and Peter sure had something to say about a flood that was not associated with Noah.

Given that the enlightened use abortion as their prime ritual sacrifice there is nothing new under the sun. I am totally unfamiliar with the male/female ratio...

Notice that so called 'rib' taken from the man Adam to form the woman translates to 'curve' as in something was removed from the man Adam to form the woman, and it was not a bone. Are you familiar with something else such as DNA shaped like a curve?
