It’s gotten to the point where I don’t trust anyone who runs an organization with “girls” or “boys” in the name.

If I were their defense attorney, I’d point to the Democrat policy of doing the same with girls in our high schools (forcing them to shower with boys, for example), in fact, legalizes what they’re accused of.
