I am requesting prayers from you good people for Mike (relative of an in-law). He is in his 60s and has been placed on a ventilator for COVID. They have not been able to keep his oxygen levels up. I don't have too much influence with this situation but I always thought ventilators was a bad idea. Any advice I can throw their way would also be appreciated. Is the HCQ cocktail proven to be effective? Thanks in advance

Pray that he does not get pneumonia. These little critters wreak havoc on the lungs and are very difficult to overcome. However, God is greater than Covid..
Miracles do happen. My cousin age 50 was on a ventilator for 2 1/2 months for Covid.
The ventilator saved his life. He will not be back to his old self and has a long way to recovery, but he is alive with his family.

If he’s on a vent, he is past the most likely helpful effect of HCQ ( best for early treatment) but he and his family should be DEMANDING the ivermectin trifecta treatment! Effective even in most serious stages.
If the doctors don’t know what this is or won’t try it...get militant on demanding another opinion and consultation. Even if it takes a lawyer. Time is of the essence.
My husband spent 8 days on a ventilator last April. He was in generally poor health going into the hospitalization. We thought we would lose him TWICE in that week. He is 72 now. By August, he was in fairly good shape, and continues to do well.

If his oxygen sats are low and he’s on a ventilator, he has pneumonia.
To prevent more lung damage, corticosteroids are used, IV or nebulized inhalation.
Inhaled nitric (not nitrous) oxide can be used to reduce pulmonary hypertension.
Try to get off ventilator and on mask cpap which is less damaging to lungs.
Ivermectin is probably your best shot.

Yes, if it is taken very early in the disease's course. If you're friend is on a vent, HCQ prolly won't help.
