Cherubim and seraphim are probably the most difficult creatures to depict. I admire all the efforts.
The very fact of their otherworldliness argues they are revealed and not created by the mind of man.
I admire them, too. My disappointment is in the failure—indeed, the failure even to attempt seriously—to depict the entire scene, of which the critters were but a part. There is rich detail in the text those artists ignored, evidently distracted by shiny objects called -im.
