But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
TOPICS: Charismatic Christian; Evangelical Christian; Mainline Protestant; Prayer
KEYWORDS: faith; hope; jesus; praise
Christians: Be encouraged! Our God is Sovereign! The Lord reigns, let the earth be glad!
Joseph's brothers plotted evil against him; yet, God intended their evil actions for good to accomplish His purpose.
God does not change, therefore we will not be consumed. Whatever evil is plotted, God intends it for good to accomplish His purpose.
When darkness closes in and all looks lost - hold on to our Lord - have faith.
"...while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." Corinthians 4:18

I don't know why Christians always think God is not judging them. God raised up Pharaoh to show His glory, but to punish Israel. He raised up Nebuchadnezzar to punish Judah. Same with Assyria for northern Israel.
IMHO, America is about to reap the punishment for abortion and sodomy. We are too busy thinking we are fine and don't need any chastisement.

“God does not change, therefore we will not be consumed. Whatever evil is plotted, God intends it for good to accomplish His purpose.”
God doesn’t change. And a huge number of Christians have died for their belief. And from an eternal, God perspective, that is fine. It IS part of God’s will!
But most of us are not volunteering to die or be tortured tomorrow....

There’s a difference between Christians and Americans.
Christians have been already judged when they came to Christ.
Americans, however, are under judgment because of the sins of this country.
And sometimes Christians get caught in the fallout.

Join with those who are volunteering to:
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
