Piper certainly would have spoken disapprovingly of Sampson, Jephthah, King David, and anyone else who didn’t meet his good House keeping stamp of approval.
God uses all sorts. Some quiet, some bombastic. You look at their actions. I’ve heard of Piper, albeit I don’t believe I’ve read any of his material. He might have produced some theologically sound material, but he is way off on this one.
