False. Scripture tells us who is the head of the church - Christ.
Ephesians 5:23
For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
Colossians 1:18
And He (Christ) is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
False. The Church IS the BODY of Christ.... His whole body, including his head.... Christ IS the Church....
Further reading into your Ephesians and Colossians tells you that:
[H]e has put all things under his feet and has made him the head over all things for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. Obviously a body has a head.
Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christs afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church.
The Human leader Of this EARTHLY structure - from St. Peter until this Very day... is the Pope.
Your church maybe ordered differently, like the Queen of England head of the Anglican Church, but that is not how it is with the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church...for 2000 years and going...
You can disagree.... but you cannot say it is false. That how it is.
