Apparently he hasn't opened up his Bible in awhile. As some of the righteous rulers God anoints make Trump seem a saint by comparison.
He should try to name a Biblical patriarch who was without major character flaws . . .there are none (for those who might not know, Jesus was NOT a patriarch). God works in and through our human weaknesses.
There is a very good argument to be made that God chose Trump to do the work he is doing. Maybe this guy thinks he is smarter than God . . . or as likely, that he is his own god.
I’m not a real religious person, but my understanding, as you say, is that the bible teaches forgiveness; something this guy is selective about if he believes in it at all.
