Does Piper not understand that there are no "subjects" in the US, that the colonies split from Great Britain over this very issue, and that this election is about our not becoming slaves of a totalitarian state? Does he not understand that the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people?
We, the people, are the "rulers." The President works for us. So, yes, to quote John Adams:
"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion...Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
a character connection between rulers and subjects,
Does Piper not understand that there are no “subjects” in the US,
= = =
Excellent point.
This to me is most telling about he thinks. Maybe Piper thinks himself a ‘ruler’ over ‘subjects’ in the Church?
