A Christian can never be an active Democrat. The party platform is completely antithetical to that of a believer, especially their abortion sacrament.
A Christian who chooses not to vote is merely an idiot, a Christian who votes Democrat is a heretic.

There are plenty of both pastors and professors at non mainline conservative churches and seminaries who openly acknowledge they are democrats or vote democrat and sympathize with democrats. This strange thing known as the social gospel in currently at its ascendancy everywhere with strange fruit for sure.
