I have known tired&retired for a good many years and there is know reason for you unwarranted attack on him.

I did not attack him at all. I just stated what the scripture says. A regenerated (born-in-the-spirit) believer having the Indwelling Holy Spirit cannot be possessed by any other spirit. Period. I do believe that an unsaved human can be a host of an evil spirit inside.

If tired & retired is not aware of this, it is learning time for him. I'm a few days from my 84th birthday, a Methodist Preacher's Kid who was not born again until the age of 34 after wrecking my marriage and my life. God picked me off the scrap heap fifty years ago, and I've been learning more about Him and His Beloved Son every day since, and been chastened by Him to get my attention many times.
