Thank for this. Interesting that many seem to show Boaz as an “old” man. Whatever his age, his union with Ruth resulted in progeny, one of which became King David, and made Ruth a progenitor of Jesus, through David.....and Bathsheba. Only God could engineer such grace and generosity.
Ruth 3:10 has Boaz surprised that Ruth has come to him rather than to a young man, indicating he was much older.
Clearly he was "older" than Ruth ("You have not run after the younger men, whether rich or poor" 3:10b), but that surely does not necessitate him being "old."

Bingo! You have cut to the chase. That's why I like the book of Daniel so much, because it so aptly illustrates that, ultimately, God is in complete control. Then, like you, I notice the same thing in the other books.
