ROME, September 22, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) Bishop Athanasius Schneider called on faithful Catholics to be militant Christians who are unafraid to shine like bright stars in the midst of the darkness and of our perverted generation.
We have to be confident Christ is in our work, that He is the conqueror, and not be intimidated by these signs of the loss of the supernatural, Bishop Schneider said in a message of encouragement recorded from Rome..
Bishop Schneider, who is an auxiliary bishop of Astana in Kazakhstan, was interviewed by Professor Roberto de Mattei at a Lepanto Foundation conference in Rome focused on the supernatural spirit in a secularized society.
First I would like to greet all the good friends of the Lepanto Foundation in the United States and I would like to encourage you to continue this beautiful true Christian spirit of the militant Christian, he began.
This is the characteristic of the Church on earth - to be a militant Church and not to have fear.
Bishop Schneider said that Catholics must not be intimidated by the signs of the loss of the supernatural in society, but that they are called to be for the world what the soul is for the body and to shine like bright stars in the midst of the darkness and of our perverted generation.
I would like to transmit you this message of encouragement and to ask you that everyone in his place contribute to spread more the supernatural, Schneider said.
The Lepanto Foundation in Rome in an organization founded in order to defend the Church and Christian civilization. It takes its name from the 1571 Battle of Lepanto when Christian naval forces overcame an invading Turkish fleet and prevented an Islamic takeover of Europe, despite having been significantly outnumbered. In the weeks before the battle Pope St Pius V called for the Catholic faithful to pray the rosary for victory. The date of the victory, October 7, was first made a feast of Our Lady of Victory and subsequently of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with Pope St Pius V attributing the victory to the intercession of Our Lady and the power of the Rosary.
No disagreement here; ditto the rest of non-leftist Christianity.

Agreed. Punch back three times as hard.

So we’re going to storm the Vatican and rid the place of the commies, masons, gays, and mafioso when?
That is a COA.

Most Christians today are not Christian warriors but blind lemmings. The fight has left us. Intimidated by Leftists.
And, I’m not talking just about the Flock.
Most importantly the Priests, Pastors, Reverends, etc...have no fight in them. There is so little pushback as to be nearly invisible. This is especially so in western culture.
Christians persecuted, tortured, burned to death, etc..in the Middle East and Africa are never mentioned by the Western Church. Nevermind a call to arms to defend our brethren in Christ Jesus.
But, SJW, Tranny,Lesbian, and Homosexual Tolerance nonsense can be found in abundance.
Matthew 5:16
Let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good work and bring glory to your father who is in heaven.
I sense a revival coming on. Not necessarily a bad thing, given the present Islamic Jihadist revival, and feckless EU policies.
Christ said to turn the other cheek and love your enemy. This is why most Christians won’t fight. The protestant churches have also been feminized pushing the peace doctrine and avoiding the old testament Lord of wrath and vengeance. Revelation is hardly touched since most preachers want to focus on the lovey dovey stuff and avoid the sticky death and destruction part (read feminized church). It’s about time we bring in the masculine side of the faith and be the Christian soldiers God calls us to be.
It’s not that the priests and bishops have no fight..They want to help destroy the church...They support what the leftists are doing...They are gay, leftists, dems and pro-aborts...Why would those people fight for the church????
They have forgotten Jesus and the whip....
Still waiting for one damned homily or prayer of the faithful that mentions our persecuted Asian African and Middle East brethren. But plenty of “end racism” social justice bs. You’d think it was still the segregated south.
Yet, those of us who know the Bible understand that our GOD is a jealous God... and in HIS jealousy an angry God.
