I listen to Dr. Michael Heiser (author of Unseen Realm). He also says that Jesus was born on September 11th. He doesn’t make a big deal about it, but just throws down the bible and historical data for it.
Interesting, I will look him up. THX!
Anyone who has ever spent time on a farm knows winter isn't the time you want to be camping out in a manger, stable, barn, or crib. Winter is hectic and muddy. Animals nicker, bellow and bleat until fed. The lot is a mess of ankle-deep mud and higher.
If you're going to spend your nights in such a place, the fall is a pleasant time. The area and buildings will have been cleaned and made ready for the fresh hay and grain harvests. The animals are still mainly out in pastures until frost kills the grasses.
Common sense evidence Christ was born in a manager in the fall if no room at the inn.
