We only worship God, but interestingly Mary was the only physical human connection with Jesus.
As the blood of a child always comes from the father, so Jesus’ blood came from the Father via the Holy Spirit whose seed Jesus was/is.
Jesus was all God and all man. Only God could do that.
Fooled the heck out of Satan.
Amazing. God is truly amazing. He’s the Victor!

Did Jesus inherit any of his father’s DNA?

Jesus’ half brothers and sisters may have benefited from this.

” Mary was and indeed still is the Ark of the New Covenant and the repository of the Divine.”
Ya gotta just love Catholics.
They sometimes are more like Mormons.
Mormons consider Joseph Smith more Holy than Jesus and
Catholics consider Mary more Holy than Jesus.
Sorry, Mary “just happened to be” the woman God chose to bear His Son.
He never meant for HER to be WORSHIPED! Only The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are to be worshiped.
Worshiping ANYONE else is a grave SIN!

Its mostly a matter of connecting existing science to biblical accounts.
In this case it is one more aspect of the mystery of the incarnation which the Church has believed for centuries explained more clearly.
Early scientists/philosophers who were theologians always speculated that Mary had to have had a special relationship to Jesus because in general it was believed that women always contributed from their own body towards the generation of a human being.

>just happened to be<
You just happened to be here.
You are not special to God. God never planned for you.
Or just like God has planned purposely for everything, He planned for you to be in the world for a reason, just as He planned for Mary to be in the world for a reason.

“Jesus has no biological siblings.”
THAT is strictly a Catholic opinion that ignores/changes scripture.

>Thats nice, but you didnt answer the question.< Re: Its not entirely 'new' its a further elaboration. The only "new" element would be the expanded scientific understanding of God's design for human natural reproduction.
