Don’t know why catholic leadership seems to always get on the wrong side of events....they do likewise with immigration. I suspect those attending adhere to the catholic push for a one world unity religion.
One reason why Catholic leadership seems to always be on the wrong side of events is due to their motivation.
Most Catholic dioceses want to fill their churches, schools and coffers. Less Americans are going to church on a steady basis. We are also having fewer children, getting married less often. Less men are completing college.
Advocating more imports of immigrants who already have a catholic culture or background is one way to remedy this, be they legal or ‘otherwise’ in their view.
Most Catholic organizations are concerned about being sued for not marrying gays, not having openly gay lay teachers, not ‘promoting the beliefs of the Trans Lobby, so they tend to give in far sooner than longtime members may expect or want.

I guess that’s why I’m a “lapsed” Catholic. The Church is not what it once was.
