I’ve always believed that will happen. When you think about it, there is going to have to be some kind of explanation for what happened to all "those" people and where did they go. Scripture says God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie (II Thessalonians 2:11). It's hard to deny that there has been a lot of set up over the years so that explanation will be plausible. A lot of scared and desperate people left behind.
