This cancellation of public gatherings could turn into an annual event. Call it virus vacation. Could work to cut back on other varieties of flues.
The Catholic Church died with Vatican II.
A Church that doesnt offer the Eucharist?? Bizarre.
A total eclipse of the Lord?
Very disturbing.Heartbreaking.
I hope they’re making confession still available. The priest can wear a mask and be safe behind the confessional grille, if they even still have those in Boston. Ask the penitent to wipe down the part of the kneeler where you place your hands on his way out and before the next person comes in. It’s not rocket science.
I hope the Mass suspension is very temporary. But confession should be available during Lent.
Outrageous.
Galveston-Houston - there is no precious Blood and NO hand shaking and this:
Message from Daniel Cardinal DiNardo Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update March 13, 2020
Peace be with all of you! We put our trust and faith in God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. With Jesus with us, we are not afraid, even in danger. I want us to pray for each other and the whole community of Galveston-Houston to do our part to be good agents and citizens and may the prayers of Our Lady of Guadalupe support us.
At this time when the faithful need to maintain some degree of normalcy in the midst of the current health crisis, the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is recommending that each parish continue to maintain their regular Mass schedules for all those who wish to participate, though the obligation to attend Mass is being dispensed until further notice.
The following individuals are asked to remain at home and not attend Mass:
If you are currently ill.
If you are suffering from a chronic health condition.
If your immune system is compromised.
If you are over the age of 60; or
If you are uncomfortable attending Sunday Mass due to concerns over the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
PATHETIC!! RIDICULOUS!! EVIL!!
Confession is available 24 hours a day.....God is NEVER closed.
We can confess ALL of our sins directly to Him.
9If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 NASB
Just like Jesus it will rise again. Because it is the Body of Christ.
